You, sir, have brought my ruined childhood back from the dead by bringing this "dog" into the real world.

Please, oh lord, please make more.

Hm....how about that freaky-looking horse skeleton from "Bess"? Or that woman from "The Dream"?

Wow! You nailed it. Truly sickening - that's a good thing.

This is amazing. I remember reading those books as a child, and this was one that always just "stuck out" to me. I love the detail you included - the straggly hair, the pores/sores. The color use is excellent, very vivid and, well, disgusting (in the best way possible)! For a minute I had to do a double take on the face, just because I didn't see the nose the first time around. But now that I've been able to really study it, it looks just like a "morbid" rat. Very impressive!!!

thanks for the great comment! it seems that this piece/illustration has not only haunted my childhood memories but many many others. it makes me very glad/proud that everyone has so many great things to say about it and that i can stir those memories of the books back. thanks again!

This amazing! The fact that you managed to get wire-like hair emerging from the sculpy really works well. Is it real hair, or very thin wire? (It just curls perfectly!)
